ADORATION
Have you told Him how much you love Him today?
Are you in the place where He wants you?
"My Only Son"
By Lisa Haley
Both of these stories I am about to tell you are true. They both
involve the sacrifice of an only son. The first story takes place in a city
where boats and trains transport people to their destinations. A man was
working on his job one day, as his son was playing around, unaware of the
dangers that surrounded him. His father was responsible for lifting and
lowering a bridge over a body of water. As the train was approaching
a horrible site beheld this father. His son had fallen down amongst the
gears that lower and raise the bridge. As the passenger train was fast
approaching the father watched in horror. A choice quickly needed to be
made. Sacrifice his only son by lowering the bridge that would crush him,
or allow the train to derail and fall to its destruction with hundreds of
people on it. He looked away and lowered the bridge, sobbing and yelling
at the train. "I am doing this for you!" The train crossed the bridge
unaware of the great sacrifice this man made.
The other story is very similar. God looked down as the Father of
His creation and saw no other way to save us but to send His Only Son.
When God created Adam and Eve, he put them in a beautiful garden
where all there needs where supplied. He warned them about the tree of
life and that it was the only thing they could not have. They disobeyed and
fell into trouble. They let self and greed rule them in making the wrong
decision. This cost them greatly. They did not loose their life immediately
but would begin the process. To hide their sin, because they were naked,
God sacrificed an animal to clothe His children. But that covered only that
sin, many more would be committed. God decided more must be done. He
then sent Jesus, to be born of a virgin, raised to face the temptations we face,
but perfect and without sin. He would be His only Son and the only one
that could die for the entire human race.
As God looked down on us, the choice was made. Jesus was crucified on
the cross, and like the father in the other story, God looked away because
he could not bare to see his one and only son perish. I have only one son
myself and could not imagine what it must have been like. And would I be
so willing to sacrifice him to save hundreds or thousands of people I didn't
even know. Both had amazing love for their only son. The little boy in the first
story died so others could live longer on this earth. The boy born of a virgin in
the second story, became a man and the supreme sacrifice for everyone. He
died to offer us Eternal life. But we must A- Accept that He died for us. B-
Believe that He saves us from our sins & C- Confess with our mouths
that He is Lord. That's the ABC's of Salvation.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and
only son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
Matthew 20:28 "Just as the son of man did not come to be served
but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many".
THE CROSS
When you look upon the cross
What is there that you see
Can you visualize the loss
given for you and for me
The Cross became a bridge
for my brokenness in sin
And the blood that Jesus offered there
is the key to my cleansing within
Could you give your only son
for the sins of the world
Do you know that God above
gave so we could be free

"Life in the C Zone"
By Lee Ann Davison
HELP!! I am caught in the C Zone.
I am Constantly Confronted with Challenges, Changes, Chaos,
Crises, and Catastrophes.
I have a Continual battle with Clutter, and Confusion.
No matter how hard I try it often seems I Can't do
anything right.
It is easy to be Cranky, Critical, to Cry, be Careless (about
spiritual matters or other matters to be truthful).
Sometimes I am Cast down in spirit and soul.
I find myself trying to Cope, and get my life back in control.
I yearn for Comfort and Compassion and Calm or just a
friend to Care .
During this time I have learned that regardless of how CRAZY
my C Zone gets
God is still in Control
He is Compassionate
He Cares
He Calls me to bring Him my Cares and Concerns along
with my Chaos, Crisis, Challenges, Catastrophes.
He sends the Holy Spirit to bring Comfort and Calm in
my Chaos.
In my C Zone, I am still Committed to serving the Lord.
I am Content to know that my Heavenly Father Cares for me.
I can Continue on with my life .
Knowing that He will help me not only to COPE but to be more
than a Conqueror.
And that someday I will have a Crown to Cast at His Feet.

Lee Ann Davison is a wife, mother of 3, grandmother of 2 and business owner (with
her husband Fred Davison) of "Your Business Matters". Lee Ann began sharing her
writings after hearing a sermon about the donkey that Jesus rode on Palm Sunday.
The challenge of that message was that everyone has a donkey and it should be given
to the Lord to use. Lee Ann realized that day that her "donkey" was her writing and
it should be yielded to the Lord to use for His purposes. She has been published in
the magazine called The Ladies Companion, John Three Sixteen (a weekly Sunday School
paper over one hundred years old)and several church/conference periodicals. She
attends Burlington Bible Methodist Church in Burlington, KY.
