THE WRITING DESK
These pages offer you writing related articles and tools as well as inspiration from God's word.
Marlene Friesen warns us about setting goals outside of God's plan here.
Terry W. Whalin gives us a more accurate perspective of what editors go through.here.
Come closer to Jesus. Awaken with fresh promise and hope. Know that the King cares for you.
Your work will not be in vain. You will stand before Him, and He will say "Well Done"
Faint not. The "Morning Dew"Column will be featured in the new pages, and
is an excerpt from (c)Seeds in Season Bible Study
"YOUR WRITING OUTLOOK"
By April Boyer
In the Seeds Bible Study available on this website, we are looking
at our writing gift or other abilities in relation to Christ's imminent return.
This study segment also includes topics: "Looking Up", "Looking Ahead" and "Looking For Opportunities"
What is your goal in these days?
PREPARING FOR CHRIST'S RETURN, AND
YOUR WRITING OUTLOOK:
Looking Over Your Objectives
KEY VERSE II Timothy 1:3-7 "No man that
warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life, that
he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. And
if a man strive for Masteries, yet he is not crowned, except
he strive lawfully. An husbandman that laboreth must first be
partaker of the fruits. Consider what I say; and the Lord give
thee understanding in all things. "
Comment: For whom do you set your objectives? What affairs,
or whom may be an obstacle to your goals? Whom do you choose
to please?
ADDITIONAL VERSES Hebrews 10:25, I John 4:2,
Galatians 6:9.
PRAYER "Father, help me now to keep your
kingdom in focus. With the days ahead, allow me to work as if
laboring for the King. I pray that the words I write will be meat and
salvation for someone, will encourage someone who has stumbled,
or for someone who labors in the ripe fields for your purpose.
Thank you Lord, for your gift in me. Help me to use in wisely.
I love you Lord. Amen."
JOURNAL CONSIDERATIONS Now is the time to take
a new look at what you are doing with your writing, with messages
that God has given you with which to teach, or with your other gifts.
What will you give the King? Write a new plan for this coming year.
Write in goals that are manageable for you. Pray over them.
HOMEWORK Write in a shopping list style those things
that you will need to accomplish the goals you've set. Who will
supply your needs? How will you obtain them? Write what each
item is worth to you. Write what each item is worth to Christ
Jesus.
NATURE WRITERS HOMEWORK Write about how
you labor in your yard or garden. Be creative. Write about the
supplies you will need. Who will supply them? How will you use
each tool or item? Compare this essay to God's plan for you.
